Sunday School Inauguration

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in our church's journey, a chapter that is centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the importance of passing on the faith to the next generation. Our Sunday School program is not just about teaching lessons; it's about instilling in our children a love for God and His Word and also about building relationships.

Objectives:

  • Teach our children the principles of Christian living, the word of God, and also the history of the Church.

  • Educate them about the importance of regular worship and introduce them to the beliefs and sacraments of the Church.

  • Guide them in worshipping our Almighty God through songs and prayers.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

"Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.' When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there."

Matthew 19:13-15

This passage highlights Jesus' love and care for children, emphasizing the importance of nurturing their faith and spiritual growth. It sets a fitting tone for the launch of our Sunday School program, underscoring the significance of creating a welcoming and supportive environment where children can learn about God's love and teachings.
